Rural homes - Nakusp area

Rural homes

Rural range from cabins to modern luxury estates. We inspect a range of these homes in the Nakusp, Trout Lake, New Denver areas. Some of these homes are seasonal vacation homes and some are custom homes often built buy the home owner. Some of the additional things we look at during a home inspection are:

– Settlement and damaged foundations. Houses built overlooking the lake or on a hillside may have settled over time as the land naturally moves. Even new houses can have problems.

– Water damage. Often many of these homes are summer getaways and sit empty for much of the year. Because no one is home to monitor for problems we find leaks that have gone undetected for some time.

– Code and construction problems. Many of these homes are outside of municipal boundaries and may not have required a building inspection prior to occupancy. Also given the locations of rural properties we find many home owner fixes or developments that may have problems.
